Global Ed Activity for Kids

Thursday, August 5 - 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Global Education Children's Activity will fulfill Peace Corps' third goal by welcoming children from Horizons for Youth, a Chicago organization that provides mentoring and academic assistance for children from low-income families. During this global education event, RPCVs will share their experiences and guide children through crafts from various countries such as batik painting and creating sculptures from recycled wire. Ms. Ella Jenkins, a Grammy-winning folk singer and well-known Chicagoan, will perform for the children and share her stories of the world.
