About
Founder's Day
The 2004 Founder's
Day Dinner and silent auction celebrates the 25th anniversaries
of both the National Peace Corps Association (NPCA) and
Chicago Area Peace Corps Association (CAPCA).
The NPCA is a national leader in training teachers to become
global educators. Through the Global Teach Net program,
NPCA trains teachers and provides materials for them to
create global education activities in their classrooms.
NPCA also supports small business projects in developing
countries through the NPCA Microenterprise Program.
CAPCA supports Peace Corps Volunteers in the field through
the Peace Corps Partnership Program, including recent projects
in El Salvador, Guinea, Ghana, Guatemala, Dominican Republic
and Morocco. CAPCA recently supported a youth cultural exchange
trip to Ghana, bought computers for a lab in Romania, and
underwrote the construction of community water tanks in
Kenya.
Your contributions to this year's Founder's Day will enable
us to support these worthwhile global projects throughout
the year.
